RAAF KC-30 refuelling F/A-18F Super Hornets

Another great shot from Defence showing a KC-30 refuelling a couple of Supers over Iraq?

Money well spent.

Another, 'Only in the Northern Territory', gem! Northern Territory, Australia.

Shot through the foot/thong with a cross bow.
That's gotta hurt!

From the Northern Territory News:

A BLOKE who hopped about 1km with a crossbow bolt through his foot after he shot himself while wearing thongs hunting on a remote Territory cattle station, first tried to pull it out in his room before chain smoking on his way to hospital and then arriving and telling the nurse he just had a sore foot.
Jayden Provost, 20, was a ringer on Aroona Station west of Katherine in June 2013, when he decided to by the 150 pound crossbow to give him something to do on his time off. He has since made a full recovery and recently posted a photo online a doctor took of the bolt in his foot.

Thumbs Up, Winner!

That's how you refuel a helicopter! HC-130 refueling a HH-60 Pave hawk

Now that's some skillful flying!

Helicopter Air to Air Refueling as you’ve (probably) never seen it.

The image in this post was taken during a training Helicopter Air-to-Air Refueling (HAAR) mission over Alaska.
It was taken from a 210th Rescue Squadron HH-60 Pave Hawk as it refuels from a 211th Rescue Squadron HC-130N.
Both aircraft belong to the 176th Wing (176 WG), a unit of the Alaska Air National Guard, stationed at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Anchorage, Alaska, and they are tasked with combat search-and-rescue missions.
The point of view and the stunning background make the photo awesome. By the way,  this video provides another pretty unique point of view, whereas this one shows how difficult HAAR can really be (hence the need to practice a lot).
